Friendship
Friendships are a foundational part of the college experience, and each of the scrapbooks in this exhibit testify to importance of friendship. Marion Emerett Colman collected inkblot signatures of each of her friends and placed them in her scrapbook under the heading "Ghosts of the friends who helped me celebrate my twentieth birthday" (shown left). Many of the scrapbooks also contain autograph pages, calling cards, and photographs of friends, as seen below.
