Senior Day, March 30
This was the day we planted the Cherokee rose, our class flower, out along the fence. We had such a pretty ceremony. The program included the legend of the Cherokee rose, a class song, a message of inspiration from the rose, the planting in which we were assisted by our sister class and the dedication. After the ceremony we kept on our caps and gowns and had a lot of fun.
The class of the 1918th year
Has always stood united here
In loyalty to class mates dear
And to the white and green.
And so through college day by day,
In busy care and merry play,
Golden hours have slipped away
For dear old class '18.
And now we've gained the cap and gown
We do nothise old world upside down--
This class of white and green.
And yet we hope this world may be
Made to roll on more happily
Because we came to F.SC.
In dear old class '18.
